Step into the wild, trout-rich rivers of South Siberia and Northeastern Mongolia, where cold, clear rivers flowing from Russian mountains hold taimen, Amur trout, lenok trout, grayling, and Amur pike.

The Amur trout (Brachymystax savinovi) are found nowhere else on Earth, with copper flanks, strong shoulders, and a ferocious take on mice and streamers.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to hotel, city sightseeing, shopping, museum visit, dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Drive to Binder village (430 km, mix of paved and earth roads), check into Ger camp. (B+L+D)

Day 3: Secure permits, drive to your fishing base near the Russian border, settle into a cozy wooden cabin. Half-day fishing for Amur trout, lenok trout, taimen, and grayling. (B+L+D)

Days 4–8: Full days fishing in protected river zones, exploring new waters each day. Enjoy picnic riverside lunches and sunrise-to-sunset fishing. (B+L+D) On Day 8, visit a local herder family and photograph wildlife and landscapes.

Day 9: Drive back to Binder village, half-day fishing on the Onon River. Overnight in Ger camp. (B+L+D)

Day 10: Full day fishing the Onon River, known for its taimen and trout. (B+L+D)

Day 11: Return to Ulaanbaatar (430 km), visiting the impressive Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex en route. Check in to your hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 12: Final shopping, museum visits, and departure. (B+L)
